DUX Board

The title of Dux (from the Latin word for ‘Leader’) is awarded to the pupils achieving the highest academic results in Year 6 and in our Sixth Form. Individuals certainly need to be talented or dedicated to their studies. Whichever category they represent it is fair to suggest that they provide a sterling example to all our pupils at St. George’s.

Since our inaugural Dux presentation in 2001 we have been able to honour a total of 12 pupils with the title of Dux.

Our Dux ceremony, attended by previous Duxes and invited guests, is an intimate affair and is marked by the unveiling of the Dux Board which takes pride of place in our main entrance hall This is one of the many St. George’s traditions we are extremely proud to maintain.
